Last week: One 8 mi bike ride, one .7 mi swim. Not a lot, but a HUGE step up from nothing.

So all Gold's gyms in Utah were purchased and rebranded as VASA. No price change and everything was the same, save for a fresh coat of paint - WHEW!

The meds are kicking in, which I am really grateful for. All the little shit that was constantly throwing me into a tizzy just seems... doable. I'm more productive with my work and chores. Still waiting for specialists to call to set up those appointments.

Goals for this week: 2 bike rides, 1-2 swims, and 1 run.

Bigger goal: relax and enjoy Thanksgiving. I'm in charge of bringing dessert and wine, so that's easy.

I am glad you're feeling a little better. I can empathize with anxiety...

goals for this week
at least one day off from running (1 done!) took 2 days off
swim 5-6 times did 5
bike more miles than I run no, but rode more than last week, and rode instead of ran yesterday so that was a good choice.

M: 6 mi bike + 6300 yd swim
T: 10.1 mi run + 1400 yd swim
W: 7 mi run
T: 7 mi run + 1800 yd swim
F: 7 mi run + 1400 yd swim
S: 11 mi run + 1800 yd swim
S: 25 mi bike

totals 12,700 yd swim + 31 mi bike + 42.1 mi run

goals for this week: swim 5-6 times, take at least a day off from running, ride more than I run! The holiday should result in more bike time for me... other goal is no food issues. I'm not really anticipating any as I am staying here for Thanksgiving, so while I may do a "friends giving" there is no travel or anything...

Goals for last week were: run x 6, swim x 4 (3 independently,1 coached), bike x 3

Got it all done and two short weights sessions so I'm happy. Mid week I had 4 vaccination shots and felt miserable but sucked it up. I also bought myself a barbell.

Goals for this week are run x 6, swim x3, bike x 3. It might be ambitious because my mother is visiting Weds - Sun or it might help kick her butt into being more active. Ski racing also started this week so just got back from that!

Last week: skate 4x (DONE and feeling awesome); run 4x (DONE and also ); ride 2x (DONE and soaked ugh); drills/plyo 2x (1 done - better than zero, I'll take it).

This week:
- get thru work week :-(
- skate 4x including my 2nd short track meet (Sat) in which I am determined to crush my last times... :-) (it's a low bar here folks!)
- run 3x
- ride maybe once, maybe twice.

It's a super stressful time at work, and we're doing *another* big layoff tomorrow. That plus dark rainy weather has me wanting to curl up in my PJs as soon as I get home. With red wine and dark chocolate. Sigh.

Last week I rode 5x, one being a spin class due to rain and gusting winds. Actually, 1.5 spin classes. Totally kicked my butt, since I've only started doing anything above like, z2 just recently. Yesterday I rode 45 miles, and a couple of times I thought I was going to die, like when I was above my (current, weenie) FTP to go 10mph into the wind, but it was nice to get acquainted with "suffering" again. To know that I once again might have that capacity, that the bucket of my personal life is emptying enough to where I can start to fill it with training instead.

The Sunday before last I did hydrostatic body composition testing, and let me tell you, that's not for the faint of heart. Or former dancers who have experienced some body-image issues. I guess I had hoped I would get off easy, because my BMI is still excellent and most people would tell me to go eat a cheeseburger, but I came in at a "fair to poor" body fat % due to my long layoff as I recover from surgery. I mean, no shi*t, I'm out of shape after practically a year and I gained almost 10 lbs. Duh.

That being said, I did put myself on a careful diet. 1.2 lbs down, 8 more to go. Counting calories = LAME. No wonder people go crazy. I miss wine. And kettle chips. Still, it's forcing me to be really planful about food, and that's not a bad thing.

I guess the "fun" part is retesting in Feb so I can see what I've accomplished when I've been training for more than two weeks. So much "fun."

This week:
Ride x 6 - 1 done

Happy American Thanksgiving.

Last week was OK. I got in the workouts I intended. Raced CX on Sunday. That didn't go exactly as I wanted.

I have been feeling fatigued this fall. Really struggling to get up and do morning workouts. Haven't felt recovered. Took 2 weeks of very little workouts and on the following week I felt a little better but now I'm right back to blah again.
Wed. I'm going to the Dr. - I'm going to ask to get my iron levels checked, thyroid checked, Vitamin B12 checked and adrenals.
This was at the suggestion of a nutritionist that I spoke with.
I'm hoping it's just an iron level thing. That's a fairly easy fix.

Glad to hear most of the womens are making improvements!

Last week's goals:
Swim x 3: WIN
Bike x 1: FAIL
Run x 3: WIN with 4
Core/strength x 4: WIN

I also got a short xc ski around the schoolyard & park up the street from us on Friday night before last week's unseasonal dump of snow got rained away on Saturday, then went for an amazing hike on Sunday - watching the mist rise off the melting snow was incredible! Then Sunday evening (48hrs after xc skiing at -10c/14f) I was out running in shorts and a t-shirt, because Southern Ontario.

This week's goals:
Run x 5 (missed last night because of dangerous, damaging windstorm)
Bike x 3
Swim x 4
Core/strength x 4
Get nutrition back on track

I spent last week cramming whatever I damn well pleased in my pie hole, because it was my week of off-season. Managed to get almost all of the crap food out of the house (mostly by putting it in mah belleh) by Sunday night, and woke up feeling like a flabby pile of garbage yesterday. So, back to my better habits as of yesterday morning - we have a potluck brunch on Sunday that will be a big, unhealthy meal, but I don't see that being a big deal as long as the rest of the week is nutritionally sound.

Happy Thanksgiving to the American womens!

Cheers!

Last week was mixed success:

Monday:Trainer
Tuesday: Rest. My knee was sore from some of the impact stuff my trainer did. Burpees and step-ups aggravated it.
Wednesday: Unplanned day off. Work thing popped up at the last minute that went into the evening. Ugh.
Thursday: Barre
Friday: 30 minute swim
Saturday: Cardio treadmill. I'm walking and doing 10% grade repeats. My lack of conditioning makes this hard.
Sunday: Rest. I'm always too tired after spending the day with the kittens.

Just need to work on the food still but I'm getting there.

Last week was OK - I wound up skipping 2 workouts at the end of the week because I got a huge new tattoo (half done) on Friday and my artist said "no running! no biking!" until at least Monday... so I did run on Monday. ;)

This week is a gong show, I travel twice for work and feel like I'm living at hotels and restaurants (and eating WAY TOO MUCH). A 3 hour flight delay yesterday meant getting home after midnight. Ah well, thankfully it doesn't happen often.

The next two weeks don't look too bad, but things can change, so we'll see if I get my training in. :)
