BIKE CHOICE
If you have the choice, our vote is a road bike. While a triathlon-specific bike will be more than adequate for this camp, a road bike will be more perfectly suited for the group rides and hilly terrain. Gearing should be set up to allow the rider to tackle long climbs, as well as steep ones. Depending on riding style, a compact cransket would be useful, and a cassette with a 25 or 27 tooth cog would be helpful.

TARGET ATHLETE
Athletes looking to improve on or to complete a 70.3 or Ironman event this year (and/or those who have completed a century ride). Once again, we do welcome pure cyclists. We will have 2 or 3 groups of differently paced cyclists, which allows for a wide variety of paces and experience levels. If you are unsure about the suitability of this camp for you, please email Coach Michael: http://vatolovato@gmail.com, or the Camp Director, Charlie: info@solvangtriathloncamps.com

TESTIMONIAL
After 10 years in triathlon, I decided to take my training to another level in 2012 and attended a Solvang Triathlon Camp with Michael Lovato. In addition to an incredibly well organized camp, the one on one coaching and attention Michael provided made for a special and unique experience. Michael’s generous time with each attendee, making sure to answer questions, provide feedback and offer suggestions--and even pull at the front of the ride--made the camp experience truly exceptional and fun. I am thrilled that Michael and Amanda Lovato will be working together in 2013 with Solvang Triathlon Camp, and look forward to another fantastic triathlon camp! Don’t miss the opportunity for awesome coaching, incredible training, spectacular views & a whole lot of fun!
