Home Team Charity Run 2012
The Home Team Charity Run™ (HTCR), a 10K run and 5K run/walk that starts and finishes at U.S. Cellular Field, enables Chicago sports fans and runners to raise money for each team’s respective charities. The event is followed by a Post-Race Festival that includes food, beverages and music from Chicago’s own Michael McDermott and his Rock ‘N Roll Band.

All of the runners will receive a long sleeve moisture wicking jersey that is personalized with each participating team’s name and team colors. The 1st place male and female runner in the 10k race will each win four tickets to a Chicago White Sox game including a free parking pass and will also receive VIP treatment by being introduced as the winner of the Home Team Charity Run and have their names and times on the Jumbotron. Winners will also receive a first place HTCR trophy.

The top three male and female runners of each age bracket in the 10K run will win a pair of tickets to attend a Chicago Blackhawks, Bulls and White Sox game. (A total of 6 tickets for 3 games.) The top five male and female runners in the 5K run/walk will each receive a HTCR plaque recognizing their accomplishment.

25% of all registration fees will go to benefit each of the charities our participating home teams represent. The total raised from the race will be divided equally among all three participating teams. The goal is to raise over $100,000 for local charities this year.
