I'm not smart enough to make this stuff up: A monkey picks up a camera and takes a selfie. Owner of camera uses photo in a book. PETA sues photographer on behalf of monkey, claiming copyright infringement. PETA loses in the trial court but appeals, appeals, appeals... http://www.iflscience.com/...selfie-is-now-broke/
What's the name of the progressive theory of fomenting political/social change? The one in which you just keep coming back again and again and again and you'll eventually prevail. Serious question. There's a name for the strategy but it's escaping me at the moment.
Great story . . . but I'm left wondering how PETA has standing to sue on the monkey's behalf . . . . . (I know, I know . . . . "fucking lawyers!").
