I hope you aren't asking because you have tickets but only want to go to the events where you can drink.

With Heineken as a sponsor, there are venues that serve alcohol. I do know that it banned at the mtb venue because it was in the local news.

The athletes village is dry though.

Well, I won't have to worry about that. Just starting to think about what specific games we want to see in 2016 and that will most definitely play a factor on what and when we see certain things.

Brits going a few hours without drinking? I can't believe it.

Last weekend, the Washington Post published an article on different brew pubs in London, titled, "In London, Beer Makes a Comeback," dated July 20, 2012.

Each ngiht I have been intently watching the crowd in between points or when they show parents etc and I most definitely saw a gentleman walking through the stands at volleyball with what appeared to be 16oz drafts, the gentleman in front of Missy Franklin's parents last night was drinking Heineken from a bottle (plastic I would assume) and I also saw someone in the stands during the women's team gymnastics qualifiers sippin on some suds...things are on the up and up.

Organizers make a killing on concessions. I doubt that many venus would ban beer sales. Too much $$$ involved.

How does Danny Hart sit down with balls that big?

What the current rules are will make no difference to what they are for the next Olympics. I suggest picking sports you really want to see and maybe there will be booze. Hopefully you can still have fun without it.

With Heineken as a sponsor . . .

So I guess the answer is no.

It was everywhere in Atlanta 1996 but only Bud and AB products because of sponsorship rights. One of the more popular non-sporting venues was the Budweiser Bier Garden which had gigantic TV screens of many of the sports live.

Imagine watching the SEC Championship game in a big-ass tent with 1000s of your best friends. Okay, not as big an event as the SEC Championship but still the Summer Olympics.

At the Vancouver Olympics spectators at quite a few events were smashed pretty early in the day. A friend of mine volunteered at the speed skating oval every day of competition and said that most days she'd see people who were nearly too drunk to walk by noon.

I can't see London being any different.
