Anyone have an ultrasound home unit? Quote | Reply

I'm looking at these online.....vs the one used on me at the PT clinic. 1. they basically let me do it by myself....2. looks exactly like the one in the office.

Wondering why I drive and pay to do this when I might do it at home.....

The ones you get online are a waste of money for rehabbing soft tissue injuries.

Hmmm. The one I'm looking at is the exact same one my PT clinic uses and it's been working awesome for me. They have 2 portables and a giant one on a cart, but I always get the little hand held jobbie.

Are the ones sold online a different grade than the ones a PT clinic would have?

I was referencing the ones listed for ~$100. You want the professional grade ultrasound machines, which I haven't for less than $800.

Look for used older professional grade models. They're better than new consumer grade ones. The one in my office is over 25 yrs old but still works as good as any new model and has outlasted newer ones I've also had. I like it because its analog and never has the inevitable digital electronic problems of the new ones.
