Being in Cali, you have to know, it was the gun's fault.

Lets get this straight. A guy jumps out of a car opens fire on police which can take what 5-10 seconds with an automatic weapon. Kills one and wounds two tries to run away and then is killed by security forces. I don't have a problem with guns for hunting but exactly how would having armed citizens walking around prevented that? If anything you have bullets flying around maybe wounding killing more people. Sigh

You haven't been paying attention. There is at least 1 happy gun story a week and that's all the proof you need that arming everyone is the answer...

What do you mean by here we are?

Do you mean that the rate of deaths by guns in France is nearly 4 times less than the American one? If so that seems like a better place to be, no?

If you lived in the Punjab area of India, you would probably re-think that one.

Also, there is that little thing called history that suggests that there are lots of problems between groups that had nothing to do with Muslims. The American civil war, World War 1, World War 2, Vietnam and Korea come to mind.

Was the impetus for those conflicts religion, or something else entirely--money, land, power?

Other religious groups have obviously had their issues in the past, and wars have been fought for reasons other than religion time and again. BUT, in the here and now, the vast majority of skirmishes, attacks, whatever have been prompted by Muslim ideology. It's just that simple.

sigh indeed.
Look up "automatic weapons". These are not machine guns.
He was killed because police were nearby. Thats not usually the case.
Your last question is answerable by a half brain dead monkey if you apply logic while your last sentence is a straw man spouted by those looking for an excuse to disarm the public.

Theres more than that but the "professional media" doesn't like to report on such blasphemy and "fake news".

Trust me, I am never going to defend the problems with Muslims and it is going to get worse because too many countries (Canada included) is too busy bending over backwards trying to defend them as followers of a peaceful religion, that they are ignoring some really big problems.

My niece is married to a Lebanese Muslim (a Shiite) and he attends a Mosque in a city outside of Toronto. He would tell me about the things they talk about and what the Imam's are teaching. He left one because of the constant anti-Western messages, particularly against America. He said it would not take much for some of them to act out. It baffles me how this could go on with so many turning a blind eye. If it happens here, you can bet it is happening everywhere in the world.

I don't buy for a second "but we're a religion of peace" argument, it's just not true. You can't be a religion of peace if you spread around the world with violence. The entire Koran is based on "believers" vs. "infidels" and "us" vs "them", always contrasting the good guys vs. the bad. That is the start of the problem.

I just responded because it seemed that people were suggesting the world would be at peace if it wasn't for the Muslims, and that's not really accurate.

I believe you read a lot that wasn't there?

Only point I had was that gun restriction laws only keep guns out of the hands of honest, law abiding citizens.

Nice try to deflect though.

Yeah I guess gun control isn't working in Europe? Less than ten percent the rate of gun related homicides. Carry on Einstein. BTW if I lived in the States I might own a handgun too depending on where I lived. You have so many of them floating around.
