An established dynamic, profitable bicycle retail operation is looking for an experienced bicycle service technician. We are looking for a self-starter with strong analytic thinking to work with our team. The Bicycle Service Technician is responsible for assisting in-store service operations, expertly provide quality tune-ups and repairs, and offer a world-class customer experience, contributing to the success of the team and the entire company.


Responsibilities:

- Interface with the customer to assess service needs

- Inspect, repair and service customers' bicycles

- Assist in generating bicycle and accessory sales

- Complete accurate work order paperwork and prioritize work orders in an expedient manner

- Demonstrate a professional standard of customer service and serve as a knowledgeable resource to customers

- Remain current on industry products and trends, and demonstrate knowledge of products

- Protect company assets through loss prevention techniques.

- Communicate with store management to achieve a seamless customer experience and maximize profitability.

- Diagnose and road test bicycles before and after performing mechanical procedures

Other requirements:

- Ability to stand and move in an active, team-oriented environment for extended periods

- Be physically fit and be able to lift merchandise, packages and other items of at least 25lbs

- Ability to communicate fluently with co-workers and guest in accurate spoken and written English

- Keep the inventory of the workshop updated

- Have a good mechanical aptitude and good problem solving skills

Qualifications:


- Minimum of one year bicycle mechanic experience, previous experience with bike components, service tools and machinery are strongly recommended

- Ability to work in a flexible schedule, some holidays and weekends

- Previous experience with retail and POS system is preferred

We service high-end road and time trial bikes, you would be wasting both your and ours if you have no experience working on such bikes.
