Long Island, NY - Inside Sales Associate

TYR Sport Is looking for a talented and ambitious Inside Sales Associate to join our team. As part of the TYR Sales team, you will be working side by side with other highly talented and inspired employees who pride themselves on their contributions to the success of our company.

The Inside Sales Associate will work at our Farmingdale location, communicating with existing clients to increase sales and working to develop new prospects. This position reports to the Vice President of Sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify new business opportunities and make contacts with prospective customers.
  • Call on a select territory of new and existing customers and provide excellent customer service to accounts.
  • Effectively manage the sales process, from account research, qualification and engagement through close and account management.
  • Assist clients with inventory analysis and make suggestions on new products and products that complement their current inventory.
  • Coordinate with Outside Regional Sales Managers to determine tactical and strategic approach to sales, and work together to resolve dealer issues and improve sales and service techniques.
  • Note competitor’s products and price points. Communicate competition information to internal Product Development and Executives appropriately.
  • Assist with the development of sales and product presentations.
  • Create quotations for customers, process orders and update customer database.
  • Monitor customer orders and accounts to ensure they are processed accurately and arrive in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge.

The inside sales associate who we hire will meet the following qualifications:
  • Have a related college degree with 5 years of experience in a sales environment;
    or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to interact and communicate by phone and email with regional clients.
  • Be persuasive, along with the ability to listen and close business.
  • Self-motivated, self-directed and demonstrates a willingness to learn and accept new responsibilities.
  • Computer literate, including MS Excel and Word.
