There are some P5 for 50% off in the R&A Outlet. This year’s new releases don’t appear to be available for half price. They also have some older frames for almost 90% off. Makes me want to build a new fixie. https://www.racycles.com/outlet/triathlon

Actually, looks like their big frame/bike sale is now over, prices are back up, and no direct links to the sale pages on their home page.

For those looking for a Silca Hiro Style Pump head I just pulled the trigger on one at Backcountry and my final price on it will be $70.80 for me.

20% coupon save me $20, I also used ActiveJunky for a referral link first and am getting another 10% off the checkout price (another $8 back) and topped it off with a cash back credit card (another 1.5% off the checkout price, $1.20).

Most people can get the it for $72 if you don't use a cash rewards card.

Also, Cycleops, Tacx & Elite Trainers also work with that 20% coupon (also remember to use ActiveJunky).
Tacx Flux for $650
Tacx Neo for $1152
Cycleops Mangus for $432

This is after all the savings. Doesn't work on Wahoo though but I think it works on Elite trianers (looks like they don't have Hammers anymore as they probably sold out).

Wow, glad I jumped on it when I did. I bought a Scott Plasma frame for $1295, today it is $3360. I can't believe they will ever move at that price

That would exceed the margin and retailers would be losing money.

But from what i understand thhe industries support the black friday thru several different channels (own sites, retailers, etc ...) this is how the retailers can afford give huge discounts to move inventory and helps everyone achieve end year sales and financial targets.

Anne Hed was on Lance’s podcast a couple months ago and said the demand for the P5x was really high and they had a waiting list of sorts. If that is the case it wouldn’t make financial sense to drop the price, especially to a point where they’d lose money

Power2max announced their black Friday promotion: http://www.power2max.com/...a/black-friday-sale/

If you are into building your own wheels bikehubstore announced their sale as well, a tiered discount 10-20 percent off based on dollar amount of purchases.

Any of those tri/TT frames with horizontal track ends would be good candidates. My current fixie sports a fast forward seatpost and long/low aerobars. It’s a blast to ride.

Interesting idea I need to think of playing with, not really sure which frame is best for it. Looks like you could probably do one of those QR frames on their sale for that too.

Those QR framesets are a smokin' hot deal. The sizes are pretty limited, so you might be down to one or two options based on frame size. If you still have choices, go with the one that has the longest track ends (dropouts) and mounts the brake on the seatstays. This ain't no superbike. That said, you won't have to route derailleur cables, so it'll still look pretty clean. If you set it up as a beater/commuter with your race position, you'll be totally ready for Spring races.
