Your better off getting a cord that plugs into the headphone jack to the phono or CD , RCA jacks on the back of your home system. The super cool mini speakers are junk , unless they are $700 Bose units.

But thank you for your offer of advice. As a matter of fact, and totally coincidentally, I did just what you suggested to get some tunes out in my garage to fuel my new hobby of car detailing. Pretty nerdy, huh?
