Google doing right thing rebuffing Administration

The subpoena has nothing to do with resurrecting the pornography law the supreme court shot down last year. Random data will tell themknow about what people are viewing on the net, or the age of the users. Basically it is more infringement into our privacy.

SAN FRANCISCO -- Google Inc. is rebuffing the Bush administration's demand for a peek at what millions of people have been looking up on the Internet's leading search engine -- a request that underscores the potential for online databases to become tools for government surveillance.

I don't know much about the facts on this one, but from what I've read so far I am agreeing with Google's position.

It sounds like they are trying to get the evidence they need to resurrect their unconsitutional law. First, they should have had the evidence in the first place. Second, it doesn't reword the law to make it constitutional, which is what they should be focusing on. Finally, it invades our privacy needlessly.

Yahoo and MSN had no backbone.
