I saw this thread and knew it pertained to the Roof children.

I'm sure she's a bit of a target just for being related to the cowardly killer. But posting anything racist to social media is utterly stupid.

You know what else is utterly stupid? Bringing, "a knife, pepper spray, and marijuana" to school on a day there is bound to be a heightened police/security presence. Besides being racist, she's a fucking moron.

You obviously don't live here in the south or deal with anyone that grew up here. "Fixing" is part of everyday language, age and education level independent.

Hard to imagine these two fell that far from the tree. Hope mom and dad are either on a watch list of been completed vetted.

I grew up marginally in the south. Fixing is something I only heard old people or hardcore younger rednecks use, and that was 30 years ago.

I'm fixing to school you on the way we talk around here. That is a pretty common terminology for people in my neck of the woods. It ain't good grammar, but it is often used.

Hell, I even picked up fixin' and y'all out here on the West Coast, just from being around Southerners so much during my time in the military. We really don't have any proper terms that work better than those in everyday parlance.
