Who Are the Stakeholders in Triathlon?
This stems out of the discussion I was lucky to have with Chris McDonald (which, if you haven't read, lives here: http://www.slowtwitch.com/..._Own_Words_6732.html)

One topic that always tends to come up around TBI is identifying who all of the stakeholders are. Would you consider professional triathletes to be stakeholders in the triathlon industry?

Should they be? Absolutely. Are they? I don't believe so.
The three "main" groups at TBI this year were:

  • Race Directors
  • Coaches / Team Leaders
  • Vendor/Retail

So the question is: who are we missing? There's obviously USAT as the NGB, but who else is really a stakeholder in our industry? And why are they, or why shouldn't a group be considered a stakeholder?
