Diamondback Andean fitting.
Recently sold my S-Works Shiv. I've had two of them so looking for something new. I'm a Specialized and Diamondback dealer so considering the Andean. I'm 6'3" with long legs, short torso and long arms so the Shiv in a large was much better fit as it brought the base bar/arm pads closer to me where the XL had me too stretched out even with the seat post reversed. Comparing geometry the XL Andean is much closer in size to the large Shiv. Looking at the few Andean pictures you can find here, it seams everyone is riding with very little risers in the aerobars. Anyone have problems with fit on the Andean? Owners that have them, are you happy with the Andean over your previous bike?

I've been riding an Andean since this summer and I love it. Initially I rode it with 1cm riser however I have now removed it so no risers. I'm 6'2 and my frame is an XL.
I used to ride a Kestrell 4000 in size 57,5.

I pulled up the fit numbers of both the Shiv And Andean and I definitely fall into the XL. Now it's just trying to find one. None on the dealer site for the frame alone and none on the online page as well.

We've sold a lot of the size XL bikes, enough that we are currently reserving frames for complete bike sales only. And those are going pretty quickly!

I'm not your size, but no, I haven't had any issues with mine. I'm on an M, previous bike was a 54cm P3. I like it a lot and it fits me well. I'm 5'10"-5'11".

As an aside, I don't know if this has been fixed, but when I used the online fit tool last year it didn't really work at all. They wanted me to order an XL frame, which given my size and past bike experiences made absolutely no sense. I certainly wasn't going to trust that, so fredly fit me on a fit bike. He confirmed that I probably *could* have gotten onto the XL frame in the config they recommended, but the M is a much better, more versatile fit for me. fredly then fit me on the actual bike, and the size was correct.

Speaking of that, fredly, I think I should come down for a tune-up fit now that I have a year on it.

I took the last XL on the dealer site in the Andean 3, (only bike or frame they had in that size). Probably sell the wheels and ultegra di2 and upgrade to zipp and dura-ace. Looking forward to something new.

Andean 2, or Andean 3? 3 is eTap...

If you got the 3, I'd keep the wheels. It's really darn hard to beat the HED wheels on our bike (most bikes, honestly.)

You're correct, I have the 2 coming. I'll check out the wheels when they arrive. I've never had a pair to try or test so I don't know much about them. I do know I like Dura-Ace over Ultegra though both in wear and durability. Just finished setting up a speed concept for a customer with the new single buttons on both brake levers and aero shifters and I really like the synchro shift.

That's what I was guessing :)

The 2 has Jet6/4 for wheels, and a lot of folks want to go deeper than that, so can understand wanting to change wheels. Don't sleep on the HEDs when/if you make a change, though. As I said previously, they are very fast on our bike.

The new DA is fantastic if you like the synchro shift, can't argue with wanting the best on your bike!
