Instant pot favourites?

So far I’ve made chicken and dumplings, split pea soup, black beans, chilli and boiled eggs. Had the best results from the non meat stuff; peeling the eggs was so easy!

What instant pot recipes are you loving?

My wife bought one and it broke after being used 5 times. She read online that they have good customer support, so she is trying to get it replaced.

Tomato soup, chili, beef short ribs, minestrone, baby back ribs...

I've heard many claim that wings are good too, mine have been failures.

Weird, we haven't had bad luck with beef, Just chicken which I've repeatedly over cooked.

I can’t imagine making brisket in instant pot though. At least not the flat - way too lean.

Fall off the bone ribs in 30min. That thing is pretty cool.

I put 4 chicken breasts in with water or broth if you have it to cover with spices for 12 minutes and then throw them in the Kitchen Aid and it shreds them perfectly. Poor in some of the leftover juices and make an olive oil spice blend to pour in while shredding and you have tons of great leftovers.

I bet you're right about the lean -- I've made brisket low and slow in the oven overnight and it was beyond great. Will have to get the pot back out and try your recipe.

We do a lot of pork shoulders, mainly cuban style with rich and black beans on the side.

I never thought of trying ribs in there. Do you cut them just enough to fit into the pot or do you cut them into individual ribs?

just put whole rack in, curve it around. Could only fit one rack at a time though.

This is one of my favorites. The first couple times making it can make it seem complicated, but it's really easy once you make it a couple times.

Kheema Nariyal Saag (indian ground beef coconut curry and spinach)

1 tbsp ghee, butter, or oil
2 tsp cumin seeds
4 tbsp minced garlic
2 tbsp minced ginger
1 lb ground beef
2 cups diced onion
1 cup chopped tomato
1 green serano, jalepeno or chile inced
1tsp ground tumeric
1/2 tsp ground cayenne pepper
1 tsp ground coriander
2 tsp Garam Marsala
2 tsp salt
4 cups spinach
1 15 oz can coconut milk (not the lite stuff) divided
1/4 cup water

1. Heat the oil and add the cumin seeds, saute until they start to pop
2. add garlic and ginger and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant
3. add ground beef and cook until broken apart and about 1/2 cooked
4. add 1/2 the coconut milk and the water
5. add everything else, stir to combine
6. Lock lid and pressure cook on high for 10 minutes
7. let pressure release naturally
8. Stir the other 1/2 of the coconut milk and more spinach if you want until it's wilted

Serve over basmati rice.

It's even better the next day for lunch.

I was at my brother's place last week and he has one - he made veggie soup. I'd give you a recipe but I don't think he used one.

maybe she's born with it, maybe it's chlorine
If you're injured and need some sympathy, PM me and I'm very happy to write back.

Which reminds me, I made turkey soup stock and it was phenomenal! Done in less than an hour including prepping the veggies.

There's a good bean recipe that works for any p-cooker in the Presto PDF manual which is available on their website.
