I picked this up used at my LBS as a trainer bike/commuter and can't really find much info on it. It was only made in 1999 but I notice that there are two frame variations...but the catalogue only shows one. Is that common to make different frames for the same bike? Does anyone have any info on the variations or why they were made? I am just curious. I am happy with the bike just wanted some info on it. I did post this to a few other forums and haven't really gotten a response.
Here is the catalogue version: https://www.bicyclebluebook.com/...detail.aspx?id=80855
Here is the version I got. Notice the stickers change from gold to silver and lower bar is wider/flatter on the frame: https://storage.bhs1.cloud.ovh.net/...cabb44d9b6eb11f8.jpg
This vintage Trek site just describes the catalogue version but not a version with silver stickers and wider lower bar on the frame: http://www.vintage-trek.com/model_numbers1.htm
And finally here is the official Trek catalogue from that year which just shows the gold stickers and round frame (not the version I got): http://www.vintage-trek.com/...-Lemond/1999trek.pdf
