Taking the family to Rome this March. I am looking for a bike tour or ride for my 14 year old son and me. I have found a couple of tours which use electric assisted MTB's consisting of riding easy to moderate routes 30K to 50K with a lunch stop but was hoping for a road bike experience. Not looking for a "race" experience but something more than a picnic ride.

Any suggestions??
