The original I read is behind a paywall

Interesting concept and something that I will have to ponder further. A valid points: Kiddie porn is targeted by these companies and they don't seem to be doing much to limit radicalization online.
Now if some asshole wants to host terrorist crap on his own computer (making tracking easier) or facilitate secure communications for terrorists (making interception easier) that is one thing, but if a multi-national corporation wants to do the same thing they have to be prepared to suffer the consequences. Now I grant there are some civil liberty concerns but without seeing what help is requested and assuming regular civil liberty protections are applied, I don't see this as being a bad thing at all.
