Apparently the Packers violated league rules when they place Aaron Rodgers on IR again this week. The rules say that a player can only be placed on IR for a new injury. Otherwise, once he’s healthy, the team has to release him. Rodgers was taken off IR to play, then taken out of the game for “soreness.” Then placed back on IR after the Packers were eliminated from playoff contention. No new injury.
So I expect the fine upstanding ownership of the Packers (I.e. JSA) will follow the rules and release Rodgers once he’s healthy again, right?
