Cutting swim fins down

Any benefits to cutting my finis swim fins to a size closer to zoomers? I figured I would be able to get a more narrow, quicker quick which would translate better to my stroke.

Fins of all sizes have their place. Fins are fast and fast is fun, while also being a potent teacher. Long fins are faster but can slow down the kick rate enough to create timing difficulties. Short fins are not as fast but allow more natural kick and stroke rates. Long fins will do more for ankle flexibility. So the answer, as with most questions, is it depends.

On another note, I am not so sure simply cutting long fins will create acceptable short fins. Seems like there may be design differences beyond just length.

The main thing I want to focus on is flexibility, so I'll keep 'em as is—thanks!
