Washington/Seattle Area triathletes

Just a PSA. Fees for the Lake Whatcom Triathlon (Oly distance) increase on Friday. Currently $65 (increase to $75 on Friday). That's a damn good value for a really well run race. Last year was the first year and it went off really well. The course is fun with some good hills on the bike and the run. Most of the run is on gravel. Really fun and I'm looking forward to it again this July.

I'm not affiliated with the race at all, just wanted to spread the word.

Any run that doesn't include pooping in someone's front yard is a win.

Thanks for the PSA! Have some leftover funds from my work's "health" benefit and race entries qualify. Will be good to put a quality race on the calendar!

Not often you see a triathlon with a set of stairs in it.

At least it wasn't on the bike course!

It is truly an awesome run course - the stairs were the talk of the race. I chose to walk them, as the next mile is also uphill...don't spike that HR too much or you can't recover.

Seriously though, FANTASTIC race. Grilled cheese on homemade bread and an amazing cookie at the end for competitors - easily made it worth it just for those.

Come up and race if you can!
