Season runs all the way through April 15th. Again, we’re worried that for some it would be cost prohibitive. We plan on surveying athletes post-race and will look at that along with great suggestions like yours to see if there might be a better time for the event.

We sincerely appreciate your input.

Very cool you added a sprint, but the distance seems odd. 8 mile bike and 4 mile run. Any reason to not have it closer to the 12-15 miles most sprint bike legs are?

I'd also suggest adding a bit more detail to the description so it does look like the "ugly step child" on the web site.

Definitely would consider the sprint in 2019.

Hi Scott -- are there any travel services that are putting together flights and hotels that you are aware of?

Ha ha! Yes, the ugly step child for sure! :)

The distance is logistical. You won’t be disappointed in the bike for sure. In total energy expenditure you’ll have more than 13 miles invested :)

Then you have to run 4 miles on a hilly course. That’s why the times are as long or longer than most true sprint distances.

Add the beauty and it shapes up to be one of the nicest sprints I’ve ever done and yes I’m bias but I’ve raced literally all over the world and can’t think of one I’d rather do.

Also, there’s a possibility we may add an Olympic distance in 2019. Stand by for more info on that...
