Looks like Nancy Pelosi, Jim Clyburn and other Dems are tossing him over the side.

Yes, the man Pelosi called "an icon" (and Richard Speck called "an inspiration" :-) is now being asked to resign:

Earlier in the day and late yesterday, Clyburn -- Pelosi's lieutenant -- implied that Conyers' accusers were all lying. Because they were white women. Then the original complainant, the one he paid hush money to, stepped forward to identify herself. And she's black.

Boom! There went that hoped-for narrative. ;-)

There is this gem from Conyers’ attorney - seems Franken has set the bar and as long as you’re above it, you’re good:

Reed told HuffPost, “Nancy Pelosi can say what she wants to say,” but Conyers will be the one to decide whether he stays in Congress.

“That decision is not Nancy Pelosi’s to make. What she needs to do is be able to explain, when and if it comes to it, that [Minnesota Sen.] Al Franken’s got, I believe four accusers, and at least one photo,” Reed said. “What’s the discernible difference between John Conyers and Al Franken? She’s going to have to explain that.”
