American marrying in to Royal Family
I am a bit ambivalent about the family in general but i think Harry is a genuinely good bloke who does very good things with the opportunities he has due to his position

I suspect the country will go nuts in the next 6 months. I hope he is happy because he is and brother had a pretty shitty experience as kids

An American citizen, a Canadian resident, and an English princess.
Sounds like the cast of a typical Lavender Room thread!

Remember - It's important to be comfortable in your own skin... because it turns out society frowns on wearing other people's

I thought we were furthering strengthening our alliances for the impending invasion by the Queen of Dragons.

Agreed. I think both William and Harry have turned out pretty well. They live a strange existence and as you say, their formative years were not great; I think it would have been easy for either/both of them to spin out but they both seem to have become people worthy of respect.

Same day the Koch brothers become major investors in Horse and Hound!

Lots of cultural exchange possibilities.

Yes, they are a refreshing change from their father and his generation in the royal family

Kind of wish that when the Queen dies that William could take over

An older, divorced, mixed race, Hollywood actress, oh the horror. And it appears a book will be shortly coming out about her mischievous past and her aim to become a princess. She's perfect for the royal family......

And I agree that Harry and his brother have turned out remarkably well in spite of all the cards stacked against them. I trust he has played the field sufficiently to know about love and lust, hopefully he chose well for a long term relationship here. Really seems like a good dude, be a shame to be tabloid fodder with a messy divorce.

Or he could end up like his father toughing out a loveless marriage because it is the royal thing to do. No way he keeps affairs a secret nowadays, hell his father couldn't even keep his secret back in the olden days before the internet.

If I were the best man I'd be booking Kanye and Jamie Foxx for the stag do. Just to take the piss. Which probably explains why I'm not invited to many stags, let alone this one ;-)

It's all about keeping it within the Royal Family, just as long as that ancestry/DNA doesn't go too far out.

Actually she will be a Duchess, not a princess.

YouÂ’ll always be the duchess of the LR. Try not to get overwhelmed by the honor and gravity of the role ;)

Indeed. In my defence, my mobileÂ’s autocorrect caught me off guard whilst I was focused on other things.

This is a huge step forward for race relations - the Markle family should be lauded for being so accepting of a ginger.
