Charles Mansion, dead, about time.

Seems the People's Republic of California could've saved its penal system a shit ton of money had they just shot the bastard in 1972.

He initially got the death penalty, if I recall. But all those prisoners on California's death row had their sentences changed to life when the state invalidated the death penalty in 1972.

Eh, good riddance to the man. A real shame he didn't ride the lightning way or take the gas pipe back in the day when he should have.

I think we reserved those for his victims. He can eat sh*t and die. ;-)

It is now the banal "thoughts and prayers" which has become to mean "I don't give a shit". Ironically appropriate in this case.

I was so tempted to put that in the subject, but figured at least a couple of tools would have complained.

Killing him back in 72 would have been too lenient on him. I liked that he basically had to suffer all these years with no hop of ever seeing the light of day again. I gladly give my tax dollars to make that POS suffer a bit. Other than an old Charlie Rose interview and a couple others, he has pretty much been in a closet and out of the public eye all these years. I do remember every time he came up for parole there would be a quick blurb in the news, then it was another 7 years before you would hear of him again.

Killing him back then would have martyred him(to a subset of crazies back then), letting him rot in jail just showed how pathetic he really was..

I didn't know you were such a fan of assisted living, and this is old news.
