Supposedly there will be a highlight video tonight. Don't know what that will entail though. Wish they had a live feed, this race is so much fun to watch.

I think Super League completely spoiled me. I want to see this shit streamed live. I want to see everything.

I was just about to post this photo, the run course must have been at least 200m short, no way mola ran even close to a sub 3:50 mile on his way to 4:49!

It's a shame really. They do have some Facebook live videos but they're not very good. Super League was amazing, but even major league triathlon had significantly better coverage with I'd assume a much lower budget.

Ben's capability to suffer and run really really fast at those short distances make him an absolute necessity for the MTR.....

I think that's the bike split. The splits seem to be listed backwards.

I've seen Cameron Dye's short course power first hand (posting something like a 52:xx 40k at St. Anthony's with tons of turns *and* even a few speed bumps!) I'm blown away that Sebi managed to better him (and everyone else) over such a short distance.

Sebi confirmed it was short. Prob 300m based on the results.

One thing to think about is just how hard everyone is actually pushing it out there. Their may be some differing strategies given the stages. From years of doing 2x20, both bike and run, there is a world difference between 100% effort and 95% in terms of how hard it is on the body.

I can't really see why you would "hold back" in an event like this with this type of format with the GC time difference being your starting time...IE means it eliminates a lot of draft advantages and makes this really a pure effort. Especially as tomorrow isn't DL right? You hold back, and your fighting to middle of pack result in this type of format, especially with no drafting advantage for the middle timed athletes.

I edited them into my original post. At the bottom, right after the stage 2 map.

Found them in non-screenshot mode:
Men Stage 1: https://www.sportstats.ca/...s.xhtml?raceid=47428
Women Stage 1: https://www.sportstats.ca/...s.xhtml?raceid=47429
No Stage 2 yet on sports stats.
In all honesty, if any "saved" yesterday they did so only because they didn't think they could win (strategy in finishing middle pack and some more $ for 4th vs 7th, etc), as the men and women's race was pretty much decided after yesterday.
