Traveling to Oslo, xcountry skiing questions
Quote | Reply
Hello,

I am traveling to Oslo, Norway in late November and was hoping to go xcountry skiing. I realize this may be a very specific question, but was hoping someone familiar with Oslo browses this forum. From what I have read, one can rent ski's at Vinterpark, then take the metro to the edge of town (to the north) and pretty much drop your skis and go for as long as the heart desires. I'm curious if this is even possible in late November, if I need to make plans to travel further north to one of the ski resorts, or if I need to come up with a new plan to occupy our trip. I'm looking for something similar to riding 100+ miles on the bike but am definitely a rookie when it comes to xcountry skiing.

Any leads are appreciated!

Dont know much about Oslo skiing as all my Cross Country skiing was conducted north of Lillehammer but found this link which looks informative.

Snow that far south in November will not be that good I think

Good Luck
