Good time to be a lobbyist

Of course this doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing, but one statement doesn't seem like it has an upside for anyone other than special interests.

"And Trump has stopped the public disclosure of White House visitors’ logs, so now lobbyists come and go with less concern that their presence at the White House will be scrutinized."

The key word in that article is bolded here: "During the eight years of the Obama administration, business lobbyists often found the gates to the White House closed tight"

It was open season for union leaders, Al Sharpton types, etc.

It's only key if that is what you key on. An argument could be made that was a fantastic decision. It doesn't necessarily mean you don't want businesses to prosper.

And when those lobbyists meet with Trump officials, there's a good chance that the Trump officials are former lobbyists. It's OK though because Trump is too rich to be influenced. lol

Trump made the same 5-year ban as Obama on white house officials working as lobbyist. Trump's order even used the same language as Obama but Trump's order omitted the part where waivers to this rule are required to be made public. When Trump drains the swamp you are left with slime.

Does that mean you would prefer business lobbyists to have more access to the Whitehouse?
