Cervelo BB right Crank question
I'm considering having the gentleman at bikesmith designs cut down instead of cranks for my P3. He has informed me that he cannot cut the Shimano cranks because of the arms being hollow and recommended trying SRAM Apex crank. I thought I read that they will not fit Cervelo is BB right bottom bracket. I know that traditional SRAM red will not.

Not sure what you’re trying to do, but GXP cranks do fit BBright.

I'm having a set of SRAM cranks cut down to either 150 or 155. The guy at bikesmith designs typically does it on the Apex crank but outside of the GXP I don't know if any other SRAM product fit the bb right

Rotor makes both a 150 and 155 that works and needs no cutting. Cobb makes a 155 that also works. I’d say maybe check those out.

I'm pretty sure your GXP is the 22/24 spindle crank

To go to BBright on a NP3 use this:

Please...Someone check over my spec

I have some 155 cranks, new, that he cut down for me. I had them on my 2013 P2 (old P2). They were great! and he does awesome work. PM me if interested. 155mm SRAM compact crank 50/34 10 speed. Comes with GXP Bottom bracket for mounting as well

Anything GXP or BB386 will fit. Jens is selling a 145 and 155mm GXP cranks in the classifieds. http://forum.slowtwitch.com/...ost=6454448#p6454448. You just press in a new bottom bracket that any LBS can get, slide in the cranks, tighten the bolt and go.

The SRAM Apex GXP or BB30 will work. I don't want to confuse things too much, but SRAM's BB30 cranks are actually BB386 spindles (wide enough to fit a BBRight and a spacer to close the gap) except their RED cranks with a non-removable spider. Those RED cranks are a true BB30 which is too narrow for a BBRight.

Also, the Rotor 3D+ that comes in a 150 or 155 will drop right in without any change to your bottom bracket. That's my 'short crank' of choice and have a LOT of miles on a 160mm.

Feel free to PM with more specific questions.

Edit: The EnderWiggin response was posted while I was typing. That seems like an excellent choice.

Hi

I put those very cranks on a Cervelo P3 45 cm 2016 model
Just be careful with the shims the chain Ring side is very close.
I miss placed a few shims and rotated we lost a little paint.
She was very nice about it thankfully.
We used a wheels Man adapter.
If we do it again I would get this
