Its sounds like it might be something they used to call "applied kinesiology". I new some chiropractors who got into this but I always thought it was hoaky. I'm not aware of any science backing it up. Muscle testing is very valid for testing strength, ranges of motion, etc. but I'm a bit perplexed how they can diagnosis mercury in the body, etc. by testing muscles.
