It's fine to setup as a TT bike. But I'd take a Speed Concept (sticking with Trek) for any IM (WTC brand) that I've ever seen.

What aero bars are you intending to use? I have a Madone 9 as well with the integrated bars and haven't found anything that will clamp to them. Obviously could always get the new stem setup from Trek and use standard bars, but not really wanting to switch all that just for aero bars.
The Madone 9.00 has clamp on stem and post. not the integrated.
