I would check out Dominic (or any of the coaches) at SwimBox. Just a heads up they are located in northern VA, so a bit of a drive from your location.

Other options:
- jump in with the Ancient Mariners masters team. Not sure how much stroke instruction they are giving out or if I more of just a workout.
- Again not exactly in your location, but I've been impressed with the DC Tri Club coaches. Could head down to Wilson HS for their evening workouts.

I'd recommend Greg Nelson at the Rockville swim and fitness center. He's "gregn" on here...

There is a tri group in Rockville at rmsc that is really nice on Sunday nights, I believe. Might be gregn. Definitely worth trying.
Ymmv—I don’t live in the area anymore but there are definitely good resources.

I assume you are near the Shriver/MAC Aquatic Center. Ancient Mariners swim there. There are also groups closer to the DC line or in DC, like the groups that practice at Wilson Aquatic Center. I heard recently about Lane4. Look up their info on the web. They have plenty of sites and coaches in that area. You will not lack for coaches and opportunities in that area.

Not hijack thread but anyone no of good swim coach closer to PA or northern MD. Somewhere between Harrisburg PA and Baltimore.

I dunno how close you are to Annapolis but buddy of mine I swam with at Auburn is a swim technique coach down there.

This came up a while back, and has small list of swim coaches in our area. Some I've met, and I have nothing bad to say about anyone.
Ancient mariners has come up a few times--they're a good squad to train with, but you won't get alot of 1-on-1 help. Clay Britt is the HC, and he does some personal coaching and clinics. Good luck -J

Jeannie Zappe is in Harrisburg. She's a great coach who both knows her stuff and can teach it to others, plus, not that it's a necessity in a coach, but she has an impressive swimming resume in her own right. In the last 2 months she's swam the English Channel as part of a relay team and circumnavigated one of the Channel Islands with a similar team.
