Road bike fit saddle setback question
Hey everyone,

I've appreciated the recent article on the pad X/Y calculator based on height/inseam for ballpark starting points, which I think is helpful at least in questioning outliers.

I was looking through the older road bike fit articles by Dan, and the saddle setback calculator suggests 9% of saddle height. Just confirming that that would be from a "normal" saddle nose horizontally through the BB. Correct?

I set up my Specialized Power per their recs and seems fine at 3cm back from previous saddle, so 9% + 3cm, correct?

I've been a disciple of KOPS in my pre-enlightenment days and while I've also tried Steve Hogg's suggestion for "balance", it's pretty far back for me vs. KOPS, so I'm going to say screw them both and try something new.

Thanks.

Matt
