Excel chart plotting question
Quote | Reply
How can I get two completely different data lines on a single graph when they don't have any mutual data points.

For instance...

Data Set 1
t=1 v=3
t=7 v=6
t=15 v=9
t=20 v=11

Data Set 2
t=0 v=2
t=4 v=5
t=12 v=7
t=13 v=7
t=14 v=8
t=21 v=13

Edit: in case it's needed I'd like t along the traditional x axis and v along the y. Data set 1 would be one line. Set 2 would be a different line and color.

You need to add separate data series to your chart... Go ahead and make whatever kind of chart you want with the first data set (likely scatter in this case I think). Then right click on one of the points on the plot and do "Select Data". Then under Legend Series, click "Add". You can now name your second series and select X and Y ranges. This help?
