Depends on how cold you can withstand. November is good (preferably first of the month) but can be rainy. Anytime after that can get a bit cold making a stay unbearable for those who are not into the lower temperatures.

I'll be the dissenting voice and say that San Francisco is the shithole, literally. Its a dump. I like Las Vegas more but primarily because of the weather. I just like to sit by the pool and do some sports parlays. Two very different cities.
