It is amazing that macron and merkel in the face of votes and their own popularity at home plus the recent austrian result think the best approach is to give UK a kicking

There will literally be a melt down on april 1st (ironic) 2019 if the british put border agents on the ground between north and south

At present there is no sensible option. No hard border but cant push border to coast as that makes the island or ireland to much like one country fpr DUP

We are fucked

srlsly bro?

Well, to be fair, if you replaced "right wing capitalist" with "left wing socialist" then that's a fair description of the right wing sentiment against the EU, i.e. the one that motivated much of Britain to vote for Brexit.

OK, maybe you'd have to throw in a few "sovereignties" or something as well to trigger a right winger.

I'm not sure that left and right wing are meaningful terms any more. Take immigration for example. Parties which want to reduce immigration are branded as right wing, and yet right wing parties are also supposed to be pro-business, and it's big business which is most in favour of high immigration as it keeps labour costs down. In Europe you've got working class voters who traditionally vote for more left wing/socialist parties, supporting parties that are anti-immigration and hence being branded right wing. France has a supposedly socialist President who is an ex-investment banker and who wants to cut taxes, cut red tape and cut public spending. And then there's Trump, who pretty much defies categorisation.
