I think changes were made to the more recent S5s to make them smoother.
Also, FWIW...I had a 2012 S5 (same bike) and ran 24C Turbo Cottons (latex tubes) mounted to Bontrager Aura wheels, with ~80-85psi pressure (I weigh ~165lbs).
It's a "Cadillac" ride like that.
