I own a chainsaw which I bought when an old apple tree fell down in our garden last year. There are a grand total of 4 other trees on my suburban property, including the new tree I planted to replace the apple. My wife thinks I'm nuts. I would like to say that it does at least get a fair amount of use being loaned out to friends with minor tree surgery needs, but it turns out that most of the other suburban dads/husbands are like me and also just go and buy themselves a chainsaw at the slightest opportunity. I guess we're all wannabe woodsmen!

Afraid it's a fairly base model plug-in Black and Decker chainsaw though, I really couldn't justify anything more serious...

A real actual combat worthy sword. I have no practical use for one and the couple of wooden practice swords I have are fine for doing just that, but I would love a real Chinese Jian.

Is that the same as a Greenie Meanie? My college roommate had one of those and I found it scary to ride.

He used to call it a "two-cylinder three-stroke"; always made me laugh.

Green Meanie was the 750 racing bike used to win Daytona but became the nickname for all the triples. The first gen 500 was without a doubt the scariest of them all, wicked fast, had horrible handling and drum brakes that were marginal at best..lol

I'm pretty sure my roommate's was a 500 - definitely not a 750. Yes, I remember way too much power and no way to turn or slow down. Another thing my roommate said about it was "It doesn't have a power band, it has a power point."

I only rode the damn thing once or twice and fortunately had enough sense to stay away from it after that. The canyons around Boulder were no place for a bike that didn't handle well, especially for a novice rider like me. Fortunately my roommate had several bikes and usually loaned me his CB750 or RD350. Good times!
