How did they get the dude out of there it must have been a million degrees?

"Black Rock City fire personnel rescued him from the fire.
Emergency personnel tried to treat the man on the scene and then rushed him to a nearby hospital's burns unit where he later passed away"

It really bothers me that park rangers, fire fighters, and other first responders had to put themselves in harm's way for this idiot.

You can see him run into the fire and the firefighters attempting to rescue him, but then back off. I assume this guy was a crisp when they somehow dragged him out. 2:56 is when you can see him run in.

I had an idea this was the story you were referring to. Like others, I think it stinks that the first responders had to risk their life and health for this idiot.

One of the comments in your link is "Oh well, he got his fifteen minutes of flame".

Never a more appropriate use of this song than at this dude's funeral.

Isn't the first rule of first response not to put your own life at risk ? I know it is for my line of work.

No way. That is just propaganda from Big Pharma, which doesn't want competition from the herb.

'herb' isn't making anyone run in to a fire.

From the video of the guy running into the fire at the weekend, it doesn't look like he deliberately runs into the fire. He's running up and down trying to evade security/firemen, he gets close to the fire, tries to do a 180 to avoid a would be tackler, trips and falls. I mean he's a tool for fucking around close to the fire and endangering the lives of others, but doesn't look like a suicide attempt to me.
