Did anyone else watch any of the matches from the recent World Wrestling Championships.
For the first time since 1995 the U.S won, beating the Russians by a single point. The U.S had 2 gold medals (Snyder and Burroughs), 2 silvers and 2 bronze. The best match that I saw was the final at 97 kg. Kyle Snyder (Olympic Gold at 97 kg) against Sadulaev (Olympic Gold at 86 kg) and considered before this match, as the best wrestler in the world. He moved up a weight class to challenge Snyder and the team championship was on the line.
Snyder won 6-5, scoring a 2-point take-down in the last 20 seconds. The speed and strength of those 2 was incredible and worth watching on Youtube.
