Sleeved tri suit at a decent price
Looking to get a new race suit and would like to go sleeved as I make the jump to longer distances. But at the same time, I really don't want to drop $300. I'm not super competitive and already waste enough of my money. My current one piece suit will get the job done, but noticed yesterday it's getting a little loose from wear and me probably losing a little weight. If I'm going to get anything, I'd rather the sleeves for sun protection. Any good options in the ~$150 range.

I like a one piece, but would a two piece help save some money....would that be another option?

Pearl Izumi has some great value one-piece suits. Though, I am not sure how they compare to others on absolute performance. De Soto when on sale is a huge value.

Ditto on the Desoto FliSuit. It has the additional advantage of having a "fly" so you don't have to undress to pee :-). I race short-course it the suit with no issues.

I picked up a new sleeved SLS3 suit off ebay at the beginning of this season for about $70. (I'm too cheap to spend $300 on any piece of clothing. The same suit linked below looks to be $169 now directly from SLS3. The sizing was spot on with other suits I have. I have no complaints other than the sleeves aren't as long as my other sleeved suit. These fall about mid bicep, and kind of seemed like they would creep up higher while I rode.

One other thing...the back and parts of the shoulders are a fine mesh material. Because of that, I don't wear this suit if the swim is not wetsuit legal. Maybe I'm wrong, but it just seems like the mesh would be slow in the water. A swim skin would resolve the issue, but as I said, I'm cheap, so I just wear my other suit.

I bought a 2xu sleeved one piece that has full front zipper and used it at CdA 70.3. If I recall it's $180 and fits your budget.

The dhb line from Wiggle seems to get decent reviews.

I've been looking at the Voler Tri Elite Skinsuit w/sleeves for $129. Looks pretty nice, would like to hear if anyone is familiar with it...

I really only buy Zoot, and I'm cheap also. I have found their swinskins to be awesome and can always find them on sale somewhere online. I think the last one I bought I paid around $140 and think that was half of MSRP

Kona wongs is a good alternative if your suit is still ok for you. Also gives you options of not having sleeves during the run, so not as hot.... Just an option.
