Tacx Neo v. Flux
Is the Neo worth about $600 more than the Flux - I realize better accuracy, bit more max watts and 15% more slope (?) from web site claims.

But for those that have used either/both - is the Neo worth the extra costs and why?

thx

The Flux (and similar priced direct drive trainers) can operate a little differently in ERG mode. There's compromise. ERG mode needs to be performed at flywheel speed ~20-25km/h to hold you in the correct zones. Meaning the little ring. Not a big issue, but it's something the higher priced and 'fully featured' trainers such as the Neo don't suffer from.

The Flux isn't all that loud. The Neo is king of quiet. The Neo also doesn't require spindown/zero/calibration, it's typically super accurate when it comes to power.
