Bike wrench help.. thru-axle to QR?
Snagged a set of generic wheels for cheap to use as a second gravel bike wheelset, only realised when picking them up from the guy that they were thru-axle. I *think* the hubs are Formula brand.

What do I need to convert them to QR? I'm assuming something like this?

I've also seen just endcaps which look like a lighter alternative, but they seem to be specific to Mavic wheels.

Each hub is specific, and has its own unique way to convert.

Some DT Swiss are just pop-in end caps, other DT Swiss have thread in end caps.

Some hubs require a whole new axle, some are just end caps.

You will need to find out the exact hub you're using as a starting point.

You're best off e-mailing Formula directly. They're know the best way to accomplish this with their hubs.

One question: is your Rear-Hub on your bike 135 spacing? This is typical for QR hubs / frames, but less common with thru-axle set-ups. I'd verify that the spacing is correct before worrying about conversion.

Thanks for the responses - looks like they're Niner-branded Formula hubs so I've emailed both companies to see what my options are.

those will work perfectly. I use one in my front wheel on my xc bike.
