I am going with my LG-09 helmet. I go with it every race hot or not. If it's hot take the plug out and let it vent for you. If it is a short course or chilly for the race leave it in. I hope that helps you. 86 degrees Fahrenheit is not that warm to me....but then again I live in a warm climate

30 degrees is freezing so I would recommend something warm under any helmet.

88*F in the USA. Amazing how the lack of a C or F can make such a difference.
