Apropos of Everthing Reported Everywhere these Days

Why do we turn everything into a "thing"? Am I missing all the cars exploding from water bottles?

There used to be a time where we could separate one-off type stuff from actual news. Now, one thing happens or one stupid person says something dumb and it gets projected to a world as if it's representative of all things.

It's really exhausting.

Dude. You linked to a Country Living magazine fluff piece that was picked up by nearly defunct news-aggregator and time-wasting site MSN.

Please don't tell me your effing email is Hotmail.

I agree that evaluating credibility of news can be a chore these days.

That piece was not one of those chores. That was a gimme.

Edit: That said, I'm definitely going to be more careful leaving empty water bottles in my car!

You presuppose the average newsreader gets their news from actual news sites?

http://www.scarymommy.com/...-bottles-in-hot-car/

That ScaryMommy site is the Bible to Facebook moms.

Give it a week and it'll be on HuffPost. I'll monitor it and let you know.

its funny you say this. Ill mention some topic on Slowtwitch and my wife has almost always seen it on social media. So news channels are not getting the market share they once saw.
