Hoka Tracer 2 v Original?

Can anyone compare the Hoka Tracer 2 to the original?

Thanks,

Bumped because I'm interested, also.

My perception is that they are noticeably heavier, but also more supportive. I like them, and I'll train in them, but I think I prefer the original version for racing at this point

I haven't noticed any weight differences. If they are heavier, it's likely because the upper is roomier, particularly in the toebox, and it no longer has the razor tongue, rather a nice padded tongue. I guess this would add a very marginal amount of weight.

The 2's are definitely a more comfortable fit in the upper, without any change to the midsole. I'll be running in these in Kona.

Per the specs they are ~10% heavier (7.6 vs 7.0 before)

Not sure how meaningful that difference is, if at all

Agree that the toe box is roomier, which I like
