don't actually think its an big problem, just find it ironic and funny that most likely the folks (perfgectly lawabiding folks states side) that are lying about bringing a gun to canada are most likely big law and order type folks but they ignore canada's laws for themselves.

They should be keeping the guns.

What happens if you cross the border with other things that are illegal? "Sorry sir, we will have to fine you for bringing that crack across the border. But don't worry, you can keep your crack."

It's a bit of a stupid tax. Meaning a tax on stupid people.
