How accurate are self seating IM for MOP/BOP swimmer? Where should I put myself?

I'm looking for some advice on where to place myself at IMMT. I'm hoping to break 1:20 so I'm in between 2 group, the 1:15-1:20 and 1:20-1:25. I think it's realistic based on my OWS times. I was planning of going toward the back of the 1:20 group.

I have no experience with self seating. I've only done races with mass start (IMWI) or by age group.

I think your plan to seed at the back of the 1:15-1:20 is exactly where you should be. I will always seed "up" just a touch, and still end up passing a bunch of folks, or having very little scrum to deal with.
