I just had to look it up

This was the first time in 50 years that riders on the same team finished at opposite ends of the race = 1st and last [not counting, DNFs, DNSs, & DQs]

In 1967, the riders were on National teams, with Roger Pingeon winning for the French Team and Jean-Pierre Genet pulling up the rear as the Lanterne Rouge

Previous to that, the last sponsored team to bookend the tour was Saint-Raphael in 1964, with Jacques Anquetil/Anatole Novak

Carry on

I will say this, my favourite moment in this stage was when Landa "attacked" for a few seconds before looking back and laughing. With only 1 second on the line, there were rumblings about it but tradition is tradition after all.

Yes, they covered the logistics of how he could throw tradition out and attack on the last day to gain the 2 seconds he needed to get around Bardet, but AG2R would cover everything
